PIP MARLOW'S STORY.

Written by Evelyn Kandris

Pip Marlow's Story - CEO of Salesforce | Two Good Co.

PIP MARLOW
CEO
SALESFORCE ANZ & ASEAN

“I’ve had so many moments that changed the course of my life…starting with my very first. I ‘won the lottery’ of birth, with the best parents ever; said with great bias and belief!

Another would have to be moving to Australia, a country where I have been given so many opportunities. I only knew my brother when I arrived in Australia and I had to create new connections, explore job opportunities and set myself up; it required a lot of resilience. It also taught me a lot about taking risks; that was my first big life choice. It taught me to keep taking risks; no risk, no reward.

I believe it’s important to support everyone in the workplace – but women and under-represented minorities specifically. We need to ensure their needs are considered, their voices are heard and opportunities are given equally.

We need men to do this too, as it’s still often men who make up the majority in the room that’s making those decisions.

For me, feminism is a movement to change the world, not to change women.

A movement that is changing the world to get us to gender equity. A world where every woman owns the right to her body and her choices.

I try to live my values to the highest standards I can. To call out injustice or bias. To use my situational power to drive system change and awareness. To put dollars and energy into ensuring those values are in action.

EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO GIVE BACK.

There was a lot of support from others that led me to this role. Tracey Fellows, in particular, was amazing for me and I am incredibly grateful to have had people believe in me when I haven’t believed enough in myself. Two Good Co does that for so many people who’ve dealt with far greater challenges than I have.

PAYING IT FORWARD IS LIKE FOOD FOR THE SOUL.

What greater gift is there than helping people get back on their feet, so they can take themselves forward? I love the stories that our people tell about their time with the Two Good team.

We’re very grateful for the opportunity to come together and do good. Salesforce is fuelled by values and our support of Two Good Co provides a platform for us to bring our value of equality to life; to empower our people to give back.“
